Fashion Design // Ulyana Sergeenko

Simply put, I positively adore the designs of  the wonderful Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko! I’m not even sure it’s possible to love clothes this much, but I’m very much in lust, like, and want with her gorgeous Spring Collection. Vintage inspired, velvet, lots of florals, and plenty of high waists! Everything I could ever desire. I could stare at the designs all day, they look extra fabulous due to the exquisite  photography. I have picked a few of my most favorite to share.

Interior Design // Hotel Basico

Part of grupahabita, a range of beautifully designed hotels throughout Mexico and the USA, Hotel Basico is an eclectic mix of different design styles. Industrial, upcycled,  modern. It sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it just does. Plus it’s in Mexico City, which means sun, sea, and sombreros! (And maybe just a little tequila..) The pictures are so dreamy, they make me want to move in, maybe surreptitiously, most likely not.

Product Design // Carriage Clock // Lucy Roscoe // The Book Tree Press

Evocative of another era, yet strangely reminiscent, of dare I say it, the Louis Ghost Chair by Philippe Starck, for Kartell. Both are made from unexpected materials, whilst using 2 classic designs, and it’s this unexpected twist, that awes and delights the eye.
Roscoe’s use of white paper merely draws attention, to the simple shape and form of the clock, providing an aura of simple elegance. The seeming frailty of the clock, adds to the charm. If a clock could look virginal, this would be the clock.
I look forward to seeing this on my mantelpiece, although at £50, it may have to be a birthday present to myself.
